In this survival arcade shooter, the player is brought into the Demon's Game, which they have been trapped in for a long time. They must collect ammo, load it into the turret, and shoot the dancing demons in order to obtain the diamond prize. They must be careful though, one misfire could lead to danger!
Diamond Dust is my entry for Portal's Blocktoberfest 2025, where I was tasked to make a game based on an Atari or Block of Horror IP using the Portals engine. I chose to base my game on Atari's Demons to Diamonds which released in 1982. I came up with the idea of a horror-themed arcade shooter, since I thought that would be a simple yet effective project to make and fitting based on the original game's story. The game's development took about two weeks, and much of that time was spent learning how to use the Portals engine.
